New Dignity Party open house

New Dignity Party's candidates were available to meet interested persons at two events during the campaign period. The first Open House took place at the North Regional Library on Lowry Avenue in north Minneapolis on Tuesday, September 8th; and again at the Washburn public library on Lyndale avenue in south Minneapolis on Thursday, October 15th. Both were two-hour events starting at 6 p.m.

After the election, another meeting will be held to assess the results of the election and decide the party's future course.

Bill McGaughey has a spirited discussion of race and racial politics with Ed Eubanks, a long-time political activist and community leader in Minneapolis now living in St. Paul. The discussion lasts 28 minutes.

 

Mayoral candidate McGaughey participated in a debate with five of the six leading candidates at the Minneapolis Television Network (MTN) studio on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.

 

Also: New Dignity Party supported the proposed "sidewalk cafe" at the corner of Sheridan and Plymouth Avenues in north Minneapolis on the site of the old "Uncle Bill's Food Market whose plans were derailed when the city had the building demolished on September 25, 2009.
